“Close Distance” is an intimate collection of photos featuring families in their homes in the midst of the pandemic in Los Angeles. I wanted to shed some light on these dark times and put some creative energy to good use. For each home photographed, a donation was made to Front Line Foods, LA Food Bank, and the Covenant House. bringing food from local restaurants to hospital workers fighting COVID-19 and housing support for the homeless. This experience showed me that even with a little bit of distance, we can reach a new level of closeness like never before.
